The Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (ACAPS) is taking part in the fourteenth edition of the international financial education campaign ‘Global Money Week’, which is being held worldwide from the 16th to the 22nd of March 2026. In Morocco, the activities planned as part of this initiative will run from 30 March to 11 April 2026.
This year’s theme is “Money: Let's Talk About It," highlighting the importance of open and informed dialogue on financial matters to help young people develop the right habits and make informed decisions.
In this context, ACAPS is rolling out an awareness-raising initiative centered on several complementary actions designed to reach young people in their various learning and information environments.
In line with its remit to protect policyholders, members, and beneficiaries, the Authority is reaffirming its commitment to helping young people gain a better understanding, year on year, of the mechanisms of cover, protection, and risk management.
The Authority has therefore launched its Spotify channel, ‘ACAPS Podcast’, dedicated to explaining insurance and social security concepts in simple terms. Through interviews with experts, each episode offers a clear breakdown of key concepts, with the aim of making these topics accessible to the general public and enabling everyone to better understand their rights.
ACAPS also plans to publish an educational resource in the form of an activity book entitled ‘Understanding Insurance’. Designed for a young audience, it aims to convey the basics of insurance in a fun and interactive way.
Furthermore, the Authority has scheduled an educational radio game to be broadcast on two stations with a large young audience. Designed in an interactive format, this initiative aims to contribute to a better understanding of insurance and social security, with a view to supporting informed decision-making, while offering participants the chance to win prizes.
In parallel, awareness-raising sessions will be organized in secondary schools and higher education institutions, with the aim of familiarizing pupils and students with the basic principles of insurance, its usefulness in daily life, and its role in protecting against risks.
Finally, it should be noted that the initiatives undertaken by ACAPS as part of Global Money Week form part of the national drive to promote financial education, led in Morocco by the Moroccan Foundation for Financial Education (FMEF), and align with the aims of this international campaign launched by the OECD through its International Network on Financial Education (OECD/INFE). This initiative aims to equip young people with the knowledge, skills, and guidance necessary to make informed and responsible financial decisions.
