The Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare (Autorité de Contrôle des Assurances et de la Prévoyance Sociale) have organized the first edition of the competition for the best video on insurance, designed for secondary school students in the Economics branch. The aim of the competition is to raise young people's awareness of the importance of insurance through the production of educational and creative content. It is being organized in line with the objectives of the 2022-2026 roadmap, in particular the third objective, which is to promote personal development and good citizenship by doubling the number of pupils benefiting from extracurricular activities. It is also part of a progressive awareness-raising campaign that will run over three years to reach all regions of the Kingdom.

The award ceremony was held on Friday 21 February 2025 in Rabat, recognising twelve prize-winners from the following regional education and training academies: Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Drâa-Tafilalet, Béni Mellal-Khénifra and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.

The theme of this first edition of the competition was ‘Insurance is an essential measure to protect us’. Participants were able to express their views on the role of insurance in everyday life, highlighting through their productions the way in which insurance helps to protect individuals and property from everyday risks.

The winners were selected on the basis of originality, relevance and production quality, and received trophies and awards in recognition of their commitment and perseverance. The jury, responsible for assessing the videos, was made up of representatives from the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sport, the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare, as well as representatives from the four Regional Academies of Education and Training mentioned above.

Through this initiative, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the Supervisory Authority of Insurance and Social Welfare are reaffirming their commitment to strengthening financial education and disseminating key insurance concepts among young people, in order to create a generation that is more enlightened and better prepared for the challenges of financial protection.
